The Journey

Something that is on almost everyone’s bucket list is travelling, seeing the world, experiencing all the thrill that comes with getting to know an unknown place and for a brief moment making it their own. It is a real adventure to just get out, get behind the wheels and drive off to the farthest corners of the world, keeping an open mind and kind heart. There is a strange feeling of freedom when there is no destination in mind, just a long long journey meandering the hilly roads, getting lost in the woods or going for a never-ending walk along the beach. Sometimes in this busy world we live in, all we need is a break. I am waiting for the day I let my wild side win, break all the mental barriers, pack a small bag and just leave. Driving through the twists and turns of the hills and letting the cold winds chill my bones while my eyes capture the insane beauty of the mountains, I know I will finally feel alive. I don’t want to travel to Paris or New York or Australia, not that there is anything wrong with wanting that, I just want to drive through an unknown hilly road, laugh with the locals, sing my heart out from a cliff, drink the best rum to keep me from shivering, cook simple meals, sleep in a different bed every night and just live one day at a time. There is beauty in uncertainty and nothing is more uncertain than a journey with no destination. I wish that someday all these dreams come true and I finally fall in love with my life. I want to experience nature, I want to run through the fir forests, I want to drive away into nothingness, I want to occasionally take a wrong turn only to find more exciting things to do and if I ever get to live that life I never ever want to stop. I want to find a love that runs with me because what is living if we don’t feel it in every breath!
